GUIDO ARGENTINI was born in Florence, Italy.
He studied Medicine for three years at the university of Florence.
At 23 he decided to turn his passion for photography into a profession and started to shoot fashion and beauty.
Since1990 he lives in the USA, in Los Angeles .
His work has been published by some of the leading magazines in the world such as "MarieClaire", "Men's Health","Playboy","Vogue","Max", "Maxim" and many others.
In 2003, Guido Argentini's first book, SILVEREYE, presented an exquisite series of studio and landscape nudes. That work was a reflection of the artist's great personal passion for sculpture and dance.
In his second book, PRIVATE ROOMS, 2005, Guido Argentini offers an entirely different type of personal journey, one where eroticism and beauty are clearly inseparable. Within these pages, we are invited to take a glimpse into a unique "feminine universe".
This second book is the result of ten years of photographs, all taken in the intimacy of closed rooms, ancient villas, modern apartments, many hotels, from the most elegant five-star locations enriched with luxurious velvets and four-posted beds to the most squalid insignificant hourly-rate motels furnished with cheap plastic chairs and worn-out wallpaper. A universe where all these rooms become the theaters of the artist's self-directed voyeuristic fantasies.
Is latest book, "REFLECTIONS" was published in 2007, a vast collection of photographs of women looking at themselves in mirrors: a sort of unconscious research about the woman who studies herself, falls in love, and gets lost in her own image.

Guido Argentini est né en 1966 à Florence en Italie.
À 23 ans, après avoir étudié trois ans à la Faculté de Médecine de l'Université de Florence, il décide de se consacrer professionnellement à sa passion, la photographie, et devient photographe. Depuis, les sujets principaux de son travail sont la mode et la beauté.
Guido Argentini vit à Los Angeles depuis 1990.
Ses travaux ont paru dans quelques-uns des magazines les plus célèbres du monde, parmi lesquels Marie Claire, Amica, Moda, MAX, Vogue, Men's Health et Playboy.
Guido Argentini sort son premier livre "Silvereye" en 2003, dans lequel on peut y admirer des prises de vue de nus "argentés".
Ce travail est une réflexion de l'artiste sur sa passion que sont la sculpture et la dance.
Dans son second livre, "Private rooms" sorti en 2005, Guido Argentini nous présente un travail personnel où l'érotisme et la beauté sont clairement inséparables. Nous sommes invités à entrer dans cette vision de l'univers féminin.
Ce livre est le résultat de 10 ans de photographies, toutes prises dans l'intimité de pièces closes. Villas d'époque, appartements modernes, nombreux hôtels, du lieu le plus raffiné 5 étoiles décoré de luxueux velours et lits king size, aux motels les plus miteux meublés de chaises en plastique, au papier peint décrépit et où l'on paie à l'heure. Chaque pièce est la scène d'une "histoire ouverte" sans commencement ni fin. Contrairement à un film, une photographie laisse toute la place à l'imagination du spectateur.
Son dernier livre "Reflections" a été publié en 2007. Il s'agit d'une série de photographies de femmes se regardant dans le miroir.
Ces nus féminins mettent au défit notre perception de ce qui est réel et ce qui ne l'est pas.
Il joue ici avec les miroirs pour arriver à des perspectives inhabituelles. Les images qui en résultent combinent sensualité et distance sophistiquée.

Hij studeerde er drie jaar geneeskunde aan de Universiteit van Florence. Op zijn drieëntwintigste besloot hij van zijn passie voor fotografie zijn beroep te maken en fotografeerde hij mode en beauty-reportages.
Hij woont en werkt sinds 1990 in Los Angeles, in de VS sinds 1990.
Zijn werk werd gepubliceerd door enkele toonaangevende magazines wereldwijd zoals "MarieClaire", "Men'sHealth", "Panorama", "Playboy", "Vogue", "Max", "Maxim" en vele andere.
In 2003 presenteerde Guido Argentini in zijn eerste boek, "SILVEREYE", een prachtige reeks naakten die in de studio of met een landschap als achtergrond gefotografeerd werden. Het werk weerspiegelde zijn grote passie voor de beeldhouwkunst en voor dans.
In zijn tweede boek, "PRIVATE ROOMS", dat gepubliceerd werd in 2005, toont de heer Argentini een volledig andere persoonlijke reis, waarin erotiek en schoonheid duidelijk onafscheidelijk zijn. In dit boek mogen we een kijkje nemen in een uniek "vrouwelijk universum".
Dit tweede boek is het resultaat van tien jaar foto's nemen, in de intieme context van gesloten kamers, oude villa's, moderne appartement, vele hotels, van de meeste elegant vijf-sterren locaties met luxueus fluweel en hemelbedden tot de meest smerige onbeduidende hotelkamers die per uur gereserveerd kunnen worden met hun goedkope plastic stoelen en versleten behang. Een universum waar al deze kamers theaters worden voor de voyeuristische fantasieën, die de kunstenaar zelf ensceneert en regisseert.
Zijn meest recent boek, "REFLECTIONS" werd in 2007 uitgegeven. Een uitzonderlijke verzameling foto's van vrouwen die zichzelf in de spiegel bewonderen: eigenlijk een soort onbewust onderzoek naar de vrouw die zichzelf bestudeert, die verliefd wordt en zichzelf uiteindelijk in haar eigen beeld verliest.
Argentini werkt momenteel aan een nieuw boek.
